The Technological Advancements and Regulating AI: The War over AI Ethics
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is also changing all the sectors and the emergence of the AI technology is raising federal concerns related to the ethical use of AI, AI bias, and potential job loss. Public policy, including the governance of governments and researchers, and the regulation of tech firms is trying to figure out a way to govern AI so its deployment can be safe. Specifically, initiatives on the regulation of AI have been actively developed by the European Union and the United States, with the former launching the AI Act, which promises to encompass the regulation domain considerably.
Topics of Current Interest: Due to the increasing penetration of AI in our lives, there is a growing concern about privacy, safeguarding our data, and what happens to accountability when an important decision is made through AI. In the U.S. we are struggling to find the point at which innovation should be subjected to regulation.
Potential: AI has the potential to either fortify social progress or worsen any current inequalities, based on how it is managed in the future. These debates will determine the dynamics of operation and interaction with technology companies and the society.
